President of Customs, Shaikh Ahmed bin Hamad Al Khalifa, participated in the General Policy Committee of the World Customs Organisation, headed by Chairperson of the WCO Council Edward Kaeswetter, which was held in Venice, Italy, from December 5 to 7.
The meeting discussed important topics, most notably border control and auditing of traveller procedures, in addition to discussing the issue of environmental scanning used to prepare the upcoming WCO strategic plans.
