The Director-General of Verdict Enforcement and Alternative Sentencing, Shaikh Khalid bin Rashid Al Khalifa, received the certificate of Gold Certification as a Health Promoting Workplace from the Health Ministry. The Assistant Undersecretary of Public Health, Dr Samia Ali Bahram, attended.
The certificate is one of the initiatives of the National Plan to Promote the Spirit of Belonging to the Nation and Reinforce the Values of Nationalism (Bahrainouna).
The Director-General asserted that winning the certificate was part of efforts to implement the directives of His Excellency Interior Minister General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa to develop the concept of health in the workplace to reflect positively on the provided services. He highlighted support for all efforts to develop work and enhance performance by providing an appropriate environment to empower staff to carry out their duties efficiently.
He said the directorate had formed a team to fulfil their certification criteria through training programmes and courses in various health topics from the affiliates. He said the certificate is one of the health initiatives to enhance awareness to achieve the Healthy Cities programme and Bahrainouna’s plans. He hailed the team's efforts and thanked the Health Ministry for its health-promoting efforts.
