His Highness Southern Governor Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa has honoured the two winners of the best camp award.
The award is an initiative of His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, HM's Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, to allocate weekly cash prizes for the best camp for the 2023-2024 camping season.
The fifth week’s winners, Fadhel Abbas Ahmed and Saleh Ali Saleh, were honoured in the presence of officers and officials.
On this occasion, he extended his profound thanks and gratitude to HH Shaikh Nasser for the initiative, which raised awareness among campers to follow security and environment protection rules. He said the award would continue every week until the end of the season.
Those wishing to participate in the award should download the Southern Governorate app, select the (Tents) initiative, and complete the participation form. He said that the award’s organising committee had previously visited several camps to ensure that they met the security, organisational and environmental standards, which are the requirements that participants must adhere to be eligible for the prize.
The honourees thanked HH Shaikh Nasser for the initiative that promotes the safety of campers out of his dedication to achieving the highest safety standards during the season.
