The Chief of Public Security, Lt-General Tariq Al Hassan, attended the Interior Ministry Open Cricket Tournament finale at Bapco Cricket Playground. The Public Security Sports Association organised the event as part of the national celebrations. Twenty teams took part in the competition.
The Chief hailed the support and follow-up of His Excellency the Interior Minister on all sports activities and events. He said that such support contributed to major milestones by various MOI teams. He also applauded the association's efforts in holding local and international sports competitions to enhance the physical fitness and health of the ministry’s personnel.
The Chief crowned the National Guard team with the trophy and gold medals, while the Special Security Force was handed silver medals. He also honoured the winners of the beach football and volleyball tournaments.
The president of the association, Brigadier Khalid Al Khayat, thanked the chief for his support and follow-up on sports activities.
