The Interior Ministry Undersecretary for Nationality, Passports and Residence Affairs (NPRA), Shaikh Hisham bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa, said that more than 100,000 copies of e-passports were issued in the last ten months since its launch in March 2023. He handed the child, Zainab Adel Omran, the first e-passport after the 100,000 passports. He hailed the high demand for e-passports among citizens that offer many travelling facilities in various countries. He applauded the efforts of the concerned working team for their remarkable milestone and cooperation in contributing to the economic recovery plan and the digital transformation.
Citizens could apply via Bahrain. bh and the NPRA service centres after booking an appointment on the Mawaeid App.
