The Chief of Public Security, Lt-General Tariq Al Hassan, received a civil defence advisor, Bruce Maine, in the presence of the Director-General of Civil Defence, Brigadier Ali Al Kubaisi. The meeting reviewed topics related to promoting civil protection, including holding training workshops to develop civil emergency management approaches at the national level and stimulate the latest regional and international developments in dealing with emergency response challenges within an integrated organisational manner. The Chief was briefed on the recommendations of a workshop on drafting a national risk register that the General Directorate of Civil Defence held under the supervision of the National Civil Emergency Management Committee.
