His Excellency Capital Governor, Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa, announced the governorate intends to organise a number of community events in celebration of Gulf Healthy Cities Week in cooperation with the Ministry of Health and the World Health Organisation. This week falls on March 1 every year, and it focuses on achieving the goals of the governorate's "The Capital is a Healthy Governorate" programme.
This came while he chaired the meeting of the Supreme Committee of the “The Capital is a Healthy Governorate” programme. He briefed the attendees on the most prominent activities that will be held on the occasion of the Gulf Healthy Cities Week,
During the meeting, the committee members learned about the health initiatives the Capital Governorate will be launching in the near future.
In keeping with the objectives of sustainable development and in line with the Capital Governorate's vision of being “a pioneering and distinguished governorate in Serving citizens and residents for a better life and sustainable development,” he expressed during the meeting the pride of the Capital Governorate in working with society and to promote health and development, improve living conditions, and continuously work to develop services.
