Northern Governor Ali bin Alshaikh Abdulhussain Al Asfoor asserted the governorate’s keenness to implement community partnership as per the directives of His Excellency Interior Minister to cooperate with all agencies to implement various initiatives so that the Northern Governorate would be accredited a Healthy Governorate.
The Northern Governor met with heads of community committees of the Healthy Cities Programme to discuss Bahrain Sports Day preparations.
The Governor noted the importance of Sports Day in reinforcing the crucial role of sports and healthy behaviour patterns to prevent chronic diseases, asserting the importance of employing Sports Day activities according to the standards of the Healthy Cities Programme and including all age groups and people of disabilities in the event.
The meeting reviewed the Governorate’s plan and mechanism for Bahrain Sports Day.
