His Excellency Capital Governor Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulrahman bin Rashid Al Khalifa, commended the achievements of the Anti-violence and Addiction Programme (Ma’an) which is one of the initiatives of the National Plan to Promote the Spirit of Belonging to the Nation and Reinforce the Value of Citizenship (Bahrainouna), as well as the role of those responsible for educating children and parents through qualified and highly professional individuals.
The meeting was held in the presence of Deputy Capital Governor Hassan Abdullah Al Madani, Assistant Chief of Public Security for Community Affairs, Colonel Ammar Mustafa Al Sayed, Director of the Anti-Violence and Addiction Programme "Maan" (Together) Ali Ahmed Amini, and a number of members of the community police implementing the programme. His Excellency the Capital Governor commended the positive results achieved by the "Ma’an" security awareness exhibition recently held in the Capital Governorate, noting the role of the programme in promoting security culture, protecting young minds from various negative phenomena and in achieving the objectives of the modern concept of community security.
His Excellency the Capital Governor referred to the importance of strengthening cooperation between the Capital Governorate and the programme in the implementation of projects and activities whose outputs serve the common objectives and are consistent with the initiatives of the Healthy Cities Programme in partnership with the Ministry of Health and the World Health Organization.
He awarded certificates of appreciation and thanks to those who were in charge of the "Ma’an" programme and excelled in fulfilling their responsibilities and duties and wishing them the best of luck in their future endeavours.
