The Anti-Violence and Addiction Programme “Maan” (Together), which is an initiative of the National Plan to Promote the Spirit of Belonging to the Nation and Reinforce the Value of Citizenship (Bahrainouna), has achieved Kuwait Creativity Award 3023 in the field of “awareness” during the Arab Media Forum in its 11th edition organised by Kuwait. More than 1000 Arabs participated in the event.
His Excellency Interior Ministry Undersecretary for Nationality, Passports and Residence, Chairman of the Anti-Violence and Addiction Committee Shaikh Hisham bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa received the Award during the event. Present was the Director of Anti-Violence and Addition Programme “Maan”(together) Ali Ahmed Amini.
HE Shaikh Hisham Al Khalifa asserted that the achievement came as a result of the guidance of His Excellency Interior Minister Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa to reinforce community security by depending on national cadres and their ability to achieve excellence in performance. Maan Programme has achieved its mission of enhancing the security awareness of the students in addition to the regular update of the awareness curriculum such as peaceful coexistence, cybersecurity and combating extremism.
His Excellency also added that the programme achieved all the standards and requirements to participate and compete with many of the entities nominated for the award, and highlighted the role of the Ministry of Interior in adopting qualitative initiatives, indicating that the programme is based on scientific foundations that are implemented according to standard and international strategies and methodologies that have proven their impact in developing behaviour among the youth, improving community security and promoting values, principles and ethics.
