4th, 5th & 7th seeds excelled in the series of competitions of MOI Bahrain Tennis Challenger

The fourth seed in the tournament, Czech Jakub Menšík, qualified for the semi-finals after defeating Argentinian Marco Trungelliti with a score of 6-3; after the latter withdrew due to injury within the Ministry of Interior Bahrain Tennis Challenger competitions, held at the Public Security Officers Club courts during From February 11 to 17.  

The seventh seed in the tournament, Damir Džumhur from the Bahamas, defeated Daniel Rincon with scores of 6/4 and 6/4. Kazakhstan’s Mikhail Kukushkin defeated Jordanian Abdallah Shelbayh with scores of 6/4 and 6/4. The fifth seed, French Richard Gasquet, continues his winning streak in the tournament after defeating the British Billy Harris in a strong and decisive match with scores of 7/5, 6/1 and 6/2.

Regarding the quarter-finals of the doubles competition, the duo of British Luke Johnson and Tunisian Skander Mansouri defeated the duo of Ivan Djurdjevic and Matej Sabanov with scores of 6/3 and 6/2. The Italian duo Marco Bortolotti and Alessandro Giannessi defeated the duo of Tunisian Aziz Dougaz and the Serbian Dalibor Svrcina with scores of 6/3 and 6/4. The duo of American Vasil Kirkov and the Finnish Patrik Niklas Salminen also won after the duo of Jordanian Abdallah Shelbayh and the Spanish Daniel Rincon withdrew from the match. In the last match, the Spanish Sergio Martos Gornes and the Greek Petros Tsitsipas won over the Japanese duo Toshihide Matsui and Kaito Uesugi with scores of 6/4 and 6. /3. 

In the semi-final match of the tournament, the duo of American Vasil Kirkov and the Finnish Patrik Niklas Salminen will meet the British Luke Johnson and the Tunisian Skander Mansouri in the first match. In the second match, the Italian duo Marco Bortolotti and Alessandro Giannessi will meet the duo of Spanish Sergio Martos Gornes and the Greek Petros Tsitsipas.

The semi-finals of the tournament will witness two significant confrontations, when the fifth-seeded, Richard Gasquet, will face the seventh-seeded Damir Dzumhur from the Bahamas. At the same time, the fourth-seeded Czech Jakub Mensik will face Kazakhstan’s Mikhail Kukushkin.
