4th seed eliminated from the tournament, and intense competition in the semi-final matches

Kazakhstan Mikhail Kukushkin qualified for the final match after eliminating his competitor, the 4th seed of the tournament, the Czech Jakub Mensik, with scores of 6/3 and 6/2, in the Ministry of Interior Bahrain Tennis Challenger at Public Security Officers Club held from February 11 to 17.

In the second semi-final match, the 5th seed in the tournament, French Richard Gasquet, defeated his seventh-seed opponent, Damir Dzumhur, with a score of 6/3 and 7/6 in an exciting match.

As for the doubles semi-finals, the duo of the American Vasil Kirov and the Finnish Patrik Niklas Salminen defeated the duo of British Luke Johnson and the Tunisian Skander Mansouri with scores of 3/6, 6/1, and 11/9. In the second match, the dui of Spanish Sergio Martos Gornes and the Greek Petros Tsitsipas defeated the Italian duo Marco Bortolotti and Alessandro Giannessi with scores of 6/4 and 6/1, respectively.

On Saturday, two matches will be held in the final round, the first in the doubles category, which brings together the duo of American Vasil Kirkov and the Finnish Patrik Niklas Salminen with the duo of Spanish Sergio Martos Gornes and the Greek Petros Tsitsipas, and the second in the singles category, in which the fifth seed in the tournament, the French Richard Gasquet, meets Kazakhstan’s Mikhail Kukushkin.

Valery Rudnev, a member of the ATP Tennis Association, praised the organisation of this tournament, expressing his thanks to His Excellency, the Minister of Interior, for hosting this tournament. He also valued the efforts of all the committees working to organise this distinguished tournament.

For his part, Mikhail Kukushkin expressed his happiness after defeating his rival in qualifying for the tournament's final match. He praised the level of general organisation of the tournament by the organisers.

The fifth seed in the tournament, French Richard Gasquet, said that he is happy to have reached the final match and that his performance is improving from one match to the next, stressing his keenness and efforts to continue this journey towards competing and winning.
