The Director-General of Verdict Enforcement and Alternative Sentencing, Shaikh Khalid bin Rashid Al Khalifa, received a Member of the Council of Representatives, MP Mamdooh Abbas AlSaleh. He welcomed the parliamentarian and highlighted the directorate's role in enforcing the Alternative Sanctions and Measures Law and the open prisons programme, reflecting the development of the reform system and criminal justice in the Kingdom per the reform era of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa. He noted that Bahrain had been pioneering in civilised projects and promoting justice and human rights. He stressed that the developments of both projects reflect the support of His Excellency Interior Minister General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa.
The MP commanded the achievements of Bahrain in the alternative sanctions project and open prisons programme, including receiving international accreditation from the American Correctional Association.
