MOI

The Chief of Public Security, Lt-General Tariq Al Hassan, toured the Bahrain International Circuit on Monday to inspect security preparedness for the Bahrain Grand Prix’s (Forumula1) success.

He was briefed on the security plans to ensure preparedness to protect security and general order, noting the instructions and follow-up of His Excellency Interior Minister General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa to take all procedures and precaution measures to secure the event.

He asserted that the main and emergency plans were well-studied and tested through various security scenarios carried out by joint security authorities that reflected the readiness of the participating forces and capability to carry out plans to tackle any emergency professionally. Furthermore, he highlighted the finalisation of coordination with concerned authorities to carry out security arrangements, including inspection operations, entry regulation and participation in activities.  He called upon citizens, residents, and visitors to enjoy the international event and the festive atmosphere, cooperate with security personnel, and follow instructions for their safety.

The Chief also met Bahrain International Circuit (BIC) Chief Executive Shaikh Salman bin Isa Al Khalifa. The meeting reviewed cooperation, coordination, and security preparations for the event's success.
