Within the framework of the Interior Ministry’s keenness to implement the Sustainable Development goals through the implementation of initiatives, and as an embodiment of the 16th goal of the Sustainable Development Goals on peace, justice and effective institutions, and the 17th goal on establishing partnerships to achieve the goals, the Ministry of Interior, through the General Directorate of Anti-Corruption and Economic and Electronic Security, was keen implement procedures and laws related to combating corruption and enhancing integrity. These efforts to monitor corruption cases and take legal measures come through adopting a comprehensive approach to confronting corruption with the participation of all members of society, as the anti-corruption hotline “Nazaha 992” is considered a national platform and a crucial tool for communication between civil society and the Ministry of Interior to combat corruption and bribery crimes while continuing to develop the legislative structure supporting the fight against corruption, activating transparency and integrity mechanisms in government units, and increasing community awareness of the importance of preventing and combating corruption.
These efforts come to enforce the law and promote integrity and transparency in the Kingdom of Bahrain, as these efforts resulted in national awareness campaigns to enhance integrity and combat corruption, and to establish partnerships with many parties by holding specialised courses and workshops on combating corruption and enhancing integrity.
