The Chief of Public Security received the CEO of the National Cyber Security Centre, Shaikh Salman bin Mohammed Al Khalifa. He hailed the centre's significance in providing cloud protection and cybersecurity throughout the year, especially during special national and sports occasions such as the Bahrain Grand Prix (Formula One). He highlighted the implementation of the instructions of His Excellency the Interior Minister to take all security measures to ensure the success of F1, keeping in mind Bahrain’s reputation for organising international events.
The Chief was briefed on the centre’s plans and programmes to protect digital infrastructure from cyberattacks and reinforce systems, devices, and websites, along with coordinating efforts of all partners and concerned authorities to protect networks and data.
