His Highness Southern Governor Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa has commended the sound directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the support of the esteemed government led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and the Prime Minister, through coordination and cooperation with several competent authorities to mark this year's end of the camping season. He also hailed an initiative launched by His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, HM's Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, to allocate weekly cash prizes for the best camp for the 2023-2024 camping season. The Southern Governorate highlighted that while visiting the Camping Service Centre to mark the end of the camping season, which began on 10 November 2023 and ended on February 29.
He was briefed on the statistics and results of this year's camping season, which was unparalleled in terms of safety, organisation and environmental efforts since the number of registrations for this season reached 3387 campers, an unprecedented 25% increase on the total campers.
