Capital Governor opens Traffic Village at Avenues Bahrain

His Excellency Capital Governor, Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa, in the presence of the Director-General of Traffic, Brigadier Shaikh Abdulrahman bin Abdulwahhab Al Khalifa, inaugurated the Traffic Village at the Avenues Mall to mark the Gulf Traffic Week 2024.

The Capital Governor emphasised the crucial role played by the General Directorate of Traffic in promoting traffic safety and community partnership. 

During the opening, the Capital Governor stressed the kingdom’s advanced system in regulating traffic through the efforts of traffic personnel, keeping base with the development of traffic services and digital transformation to raise traffic awareness for all age groups.

He praised the success of the traffic plan during the Bahrain Grand Prix (Formula One) to ensure the public's safety.

Meanwhile, the Director-General of Traffic highlighted that the event aligned with the instructions of His Excellency the Minister of Interior General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa to enhance traffic safety, services, and awareness. 

He stated the dedication for ongoing development of traffic safety and services for all road users, along with initiatives to reduce accident rates.
