The Coast Guard affirmed its continuation of holding inspection and awareness campaigns in maritime and coastal areas, in cooperation with the Nationality, Passports and Residence Affairs and Labour Market Regulatory Authority, to enforce the law in tackling sea-related violations.
The campaigns aim to deal with illegal fishing and to ensure that fishermen follow fishing regulating laws, along with the validity of fishing licences for different types of small boats and the availability and good conditions of safety tools.
The Coast Guard has taken all legal steps to tackle violations that could affect marine stocks.
