His Highness Southern Governor Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa attended an event honouring the parties collaborating in the camping season 2023–2024. They are security and service authorities that contributed to the success of the camping season. Deputy Southern Governor Colonel Hamad Mohammed Abdullah Al Khayyat and a number of officers and officials attended.
HH the Southern Governor expressed gratitude for the wise directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the royal support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and the Prime Minister, through coordination and cooperation with various competent authorities on the occasion of the end of this year's camping season and extended his profound thanks and gratitude to His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, HM's Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, for the launching the award, an initiative, allocating weekly cash prizes for the best camp for the 2023-2024 camping season.
He stressed that this honour is a result of the authorities' role in making the camping season a success through close collaboration with the Southern Governorate. This includes fostering the concept of community partnership, observing the needs of campers and visitors to the land, and using the governorate's electronic channels to deliver these services in a modern, innovative manner. He also noted that these efforts were made possible with the support of the relevant authorities to make this season successful, as evidenced by the security, organisational, and environmental requirements that were followed for campers.
