The Anti-Narcotics Directorate of the General Directorate of Criminal Investigation and Forensic Science arrested some individuals in different cases for possessing more than 5kg of illicit drugs and psychotropic substances worth BD83,000.
An investigation into received information led to the identifying and arresting of the suspects and the confiscation of narcotics and drug money. One of the cases was discovered in cooperation with Customs Affairs.
The directorate calls upon citizens and residents to report complaints, observations and assistance through the anti-drug hotline 996 to promote community partnership. Confidentiality is protected.
