The General Directorate of Verdict Enforcement and Alternative Sentencing launched through its “Fael Khair” programme the Ramadan Basket” initiative, which is being launched for the second year in a row. The initiative aims to encourage some beneficiaries of the open prison programme to be involved in charitable and voluntary work and feel a sense of responsibility.
The Directorate contributed to preparing the baskets, which included basic products families needed during Ramadan. The products were donated by the Capital Governorate, Public Security Markets, Midway Supermarket, Deko Bahrain Company, and Isa Abduljabar Al Koohji Company. The beneficiaries distributed them among needy families in different parts of Bahrain.
The initiative encourages the beneficiaries to be more involved in the community contribution and promote community partnership.
