The residents and visitors are invited to participate in Muharraq's celebrations of Ramadan nights and the Gergaoon night, which will take place on Wednesday, March 27, 2024, in Fareej Al Shuyoukh along Shaikh Abdulla Bin Isa Avenue from Shaikh Isa Bin Ali House to the Bin Matar House, after Taraweeh prayers at 9:30 p.m.
In cooperation with the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities and Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA), the Gergaoon celebration for this year will feature folkloric compositions, traditional songs, and performances of the popular dance, as well as the distribution of Gergaoon sweets and gifts to children and visitors.
Muharraq Governor Salman bin Hindi Al Mannai commended the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities and Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA) for their cooperation and praised the Ministry of Interior's Community Police and the General Directorate of Traffic for their efforts. He stated that these celebrations and social activities revive Bahrain's genuine folk heritage.
