The Director-General of Verdict Enforcement and Alternative Sentencing, Shaikh Khalid bin Rashid Al Khalifa, received a Member of the Council of Representatives, MP Mahdi Al Showaikh. He welcomed the parliamentarian and highlighted the directorate's role in enforcing the Alternative Sanctions and Measures Law and the open prisons programme. Both sides reviewed topics of common interest.
The MP was briefed on services, rehabilitation, and training programmes provided to the beneficiaries to reintegrate into society.
The MP thanked His Excellency the Interior Minister and the General Directorate of Verdict Enforcement and Alternative Sentencing for implementing alternative sanctions and open prisons to rehabilitate and train the beneficiaries in all aspects.
