The Coast Guard patrols have arrested nine Asian fishermen and seized their dhow (Banoosh) in east Fasht Al Jarim for fishing with banned fishing nets. Legal proceedings were taken to refer the case to the Public Prosecution. The Coast Guard called upon seafarers to follow the rules related to avoiding fishing during fishing bans, using illegal fishing tools and overfishing to protect fisheries and natural reserves.
