The Director-General of Verdict Enforcement and Alternative Sentencing, Shaikh Khalid bin Rashid Al Khalifa, said that the “Fael Khair” initiative to support those with unpaid loans is part of the National Plan to Promote the Spirit of Belonging to the Nation and Reinforce the Values of Nationalism (Bahrainouna).
He highlighted the support of His Excellency Interior Minister General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa for the initiative to achieve its social solidarity goals. He thanked all supporters and contributors for helping the initiative’s targeted segment. He also thanked social media content creators for highlighting the initiative’s cases.
He revealed that the initiative covered 124 beneficiaries in Ramadan and 174 cases with BD311,366 in financial assistance. Meanwhile, 1,135 individuals, 1,211 cases, and more than BD2.7 million in financial assistance have been collected since the initiative's launch.
He said the initiative continues throughout the year and isn’t limited to Ramadan. Donations can be made through the Islamiyat and BenefitPay apps. To be included in the initiative, Individuals' cases with final court verdicts are studied, a report of each case is issued, and a concerned committee approves all cases after fulfilling the rules and criteria.
Meanwhile, the beneficiaries expressed thanks and appreciation to the contributors and support for their role in paying their debts. They said that the initiative would allow them to participate in the prosperous era of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. They also hailed the support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, and thanked HE, the Interior Minister, the Director-General of Verdict Enforcement and Alternative Sentencing, and the General Directorate of Verdict Enforcement and Alternative Sentencing affiliates.
