The General Directorate of Traffic announced specific traffic arrangements during the 33rd Arab Summit. The arrangements include temporary traffic diversions on some roads for specific periods on May 15 and 16.
The plan will cover roads from the Bahrain International Airport junction to the Seef district on Wednesday, May 15, and for three periods in the morning and evening on Thursday, Mary 16.
The directorate recommends using alternative routes. For those driving from the Southern and Northern Governorates, consider using the Shaikh Isa bin Salman Highway, Shaikh Salman Highway, and Shaikh Jaber Al Ahmed Al Sabah Highway. If you're from the Capital Governorate, you can take Al Fateh Highway, Government Road, and sub-roads. For those from Muharraq Governorate, the suggested routes are Shaikh Khalifa bin Salman Bridge, Dry Dock Road, Arad Road, Raya Road, Shaikh Salman Road and Shaikh Hamad Bridge. Residents of Busaiteen and nearby areas can use the Shaikh Hamad bridge.
Residents of Dair, Samaheej, Qalali, Hidd, and the nearby area could drive through the Shaikh Khalifa bin Salman Bridge. The directorate calls upon road users to follow instructions and cooperate with the traffic police to ensure the plan's success. Further traffic instructions are to be announced later.
