The Director-General of Civil Defence, Brigadier Ali Al Kubaisi, inaugurated the civil defence service volunteering program, which involved 200 volunteers. He asserted that the programme is in accordance with the instructions of His Excellency Interior Minister General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa and the follow-up of the Chief of Public Security, Lt-General Tariq Al Hassan.
The programme aims to achieve community integration and build teams of volunteers for firefighting, rescue, and first aid. It is a realistic application of community partnership, which is considered an essential part of the Ministry of Interior's strategy. Through this partnership, the ministry aims to enhance awareness and social responsibility among society's members and encourage them to participate effectively in civil defence activities.
The programme includes civil defence training courses and workshops, including first aid, firefighting and evacuation. He wished the trainees all the best.
