As part of achieving the goals of the national initiative, which aims to strengthen community partnership and raise awareness of the culture of cybersecurity among school students, the CEO of the National Cyber Security Centre Shaikh Salman bin Mohammed Al Khalifa received Director of Maan (Together) Programme Against Violence and Addiction Ali Ahmed Amini. Presents were the Director of Follow-up and Education at the centre Mrs Aisha Ahmed bin Haji and other officials.
The CEO of the Centre commended the programmes of the Anti-Violence and Addiction Committee and the methodologies adopted in scientific research that highlight the effectiveness of these programs and educational curricula, by applying them to school students at all age levels to measure the extent of their impact, in addition to the adoption by those in charge of the Maan (Together) programme of mechanisms for developing and updating curriculum lessons and adapting them to emerging variables and challenges. He stressed that the cybersecurity approach that was prepared and implemented is the first of its kind in the region, which has a significant impact on achieving the goals of the national cybersecurity strategy in line with global standards in building human capabilities, which are included in the global cybersecurity index issued by International Telecommunication Union (ITU).
The director of the Maan “Together” programme presented the results of the initial analytical study on the extent of the impact of the Maan “Together” approach to cybersecurity on students. He indicated that the Maan (Together) programme was implemented in 2021, in cooperation with the Follow-up and Education Directorate of the National Cybersecurity Centre.
The CEO of the National Cyber Security Centre honoured the follow-up and Education Directorate team at the National Cyber Security Centre, the Maan (Together) Programme team, and those responsible for preparing, implementing, following- up and developing the curricula.
