The Director-General of Verdicts Enforcement and Alternative Sentencing, Shaikh Khalid bin Rashid Al Khalifa, visited the 10th of Ramadan Correction and Rehabilitation Center in Egypt. During the visit, he met the Assistant Minister of Interior for the Community Protection Sector, Major-General Hazem Ezz Al-Arab, and several senior officers.
At the beginning of the meeting, the Assistant Minister welcomed the Director-General. Then, both sides explored the Egyptian Interior Minister's efforts to rehabilitate inmates and reintegrate them into society. The meeting also highlighted the centre’s various activities to enhance the skills of inmates, cooperation between the two countries and topics of common interest.
The Director-General visited the centre’s buildings, including training workshops, farms, and factories equipped with the latest technology. He hailed the Egyptian Interior Ministry’s efforts to provide the best services and programmes for inmates to rehabilitate and integrate into society. He welcomed cooperation and the exchange of expertise between the two countries.
