Customs Affairs presents Gulf Authorized Economic Operator Programme Certificate

Director-General of Customs Clearance and Services at the Customs Affairs Shaikha Muneera bint Mohammed Al Khalifa presented the Gulf Authorized Economic Operator Programme certificate to Havelock One Interiors W.L.L. and Ghassan Ahmed Al Sulaiman Furniture Trading Co. Ltd. This was in recognition of their fulfilment of the programme's requirements, ensuring compliance with the highest standards and criteria related to customs procedures, systems, and related activities, as outlined in the Authorized Economic Operator Programme manual for Customs Affairs.

 

The Director-General commended the companies that received the Gulf Authorized Economic Operator certificate, affirming Customs Affairs' ongoing commitment to enhancing the partnership between the public and private sectors. 

 

The Gulf Authorized Economic Operator Programme is a unified voluntary programme at the level of the GCC countries. It offers a package of advantages and facilities to economic operators who meet the standards. The programme is one of the initiatives aimed at facilitating legitimate trade, as it helps simplify customs procedures and reduce clearance times at entry points.
