The Interior Ministry won first and second place in the International Pace Sticking Championship. Twenty teams participated in the event, which was organised by the British Royal College (Sandhurst). Policeman Sayed Shirazi won the best team leader award, and Policeman Jamsheed Abdulrasheed won the best individual player award. Thus, the two teams of the Ministry of Interior won all the championship awards this year. The commander of the British Sandhurst Academy praised the two teams for their advanced level and impressive performance.
The RAP Commander, Major-General Fawaz Al Hassan, hailed the support of His Excellency Interior Minister General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa and the follow-up of the Chief of Public Security, Lt-General Tariq Al Hassan. He congratulated the team members, valuing their preparations and dedication to winning the first position for the 11th time in a row due to their high performance, commitment and training since their first participation in 2009.
