The General Directorate of Traffic seized 28 motorcycles in two weeks and 156 motorcycles this year for not having registration plates for various violations, including not having registration plates. Some were confiscated because of motorcyclists’ traffic violations, such as driving without licences and not wearing helmets. The Directorate warned of the risks of such violations and called upon motorcyclists to follow traffic rules to promote road safety and protect road users. It highlighted the importance of parents protecting their children by ensuring they aren’t committing wrong traffic practices.
