Per the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, the Royal Academy of Police (RAP) 15th summer camp kicked off Sunday. The camp is part of the initiatives of the National Plan to Promote the Spirit of Belonging to the Nation and Reinforce the Values of Nationalism and will continue until July 6.
RAP Commander, Major-General Fawza Al Hassan, said that the camp was part of efforts to implement the directives of HRH Crown Prince and Prime Minister to train youth and reinforce their nationalism and promote them to be involved in voluntary work. He highlighted the dedication of His Excellency Interior Minister General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa to support the success of the camp. He also valued the efforts of the Chief of Public Security, Lt-General Tariq Al Hassan, for the camp to achieve its goals.
He highlighted that the camp aims to reinforce nationalism, loyalty, belonging, and tolerance values. It also promotes one-team spirit, enhances skills, and discovers youth’s talents. The camp also protects youth from crimes and harmful behaviours by tackling various challenges.
The camp’s activities kicked off with flag hoisting, with the Police Band participating to promote discipline. A workshop was held to encourage youth to be entrepreneurs and help the community through commercial activities. The first day also included cultural and social activities.
