The President of Customs, Shaikh Ahmed bin Hamad Al Khalifa, chaired Bahrain’s delegation in the 60th meeting for North Africa, Near and Middle East region in Brussels.
During the meeting, customs issues of common interest were discussed. The importance of the regional technical attaché's role for the region was reviewed, as was the necessity of establishing a joint committee to develop a documented mechanism for submitting special reports to representatives of the technical committees from the region to the organization.
