The activities and programmes of the second week of the Royal Academy of Police 15th summer camp kicked off. The camp is part of the initiatives of the National Plan to Promote the Spirit of Belonging to the Nation and Reinforce the Values of Nationalism and is organised in coordination with Tamkeen.
Students attended a programme to encourage them to improve their communication skills and become more confident. They also participated in a lecture on cyberspace protection to promote awareness of cyberspace risks and how to report them.
Meanwhile, the General Directorate of Civil Defence presented a lecture on firefighting, including manual and automatic firefighting tools and alarm systems.
The participants attended workshops on leadership, teamwork, creativity and psychological flexibility.
The camp commander, Lt-Col. Khalil Al Harmisi said that this year's camp offers a variety of workshops, community, sports, and fun activities. He said the challenges faced during the previous camps were tackled in the current one.
He said there is an operations guide for all the camp’s services, and special care was given to modern technology, including artificial intelligence and cybersecurity. The camp associates 75 partners, especially Tamkeen, that have been involved in the camp’s activities since its inception in 2009.
