The Kingdom of Bahrain, through the National Emergency Management Committee, chaired a meeting at the Arab League to discuss the final draft of the Arab roadmap for preparedness and response to nuclear and radiological emergencies.
The meeting is a cornerstone for joint Arab action to achieve civil protection and for ways of cooperating with the technical secretariat of the Arab Coordination Mechanism for Disaster Risk Reduction.
During the meeting, Bahrain's efforts and vision to achieve sustainability, security, stability, and disaster risk management were also reviewed. Sustainable development goals were included within the government’s plan through several initiatives.
