The Director-General of Northern Police asserted that a group of individuals participated in an illegal rally on a public road in Diraz and other areas in response to outlaw incitement calls. The police previously warned against responding to such calls for violating the law. He said the individuals rushed towards the police forces to prevent them from performing their duties. The participants in this group also committed acts of rioting, sabotage, closing public roads, and throwing iron bars and stones at police personnel. He highlighted that to deal with the illegal acts, the participants were warned, but they didn’t adhere to the warning, which required dealing with the situation according to the legal rules to protect individuals and property, and one of the participants was injured. The concerned bodies investigate the incidents and police procedures per the rules and regulations, in addition to the investigation of the competent authorities regarding the incitement calls, to determine all incidents.
