Coinciding with the national campaign to protect children from online exploitation and blackmail, the Public Security Presidency for Community Affairs, in cooperation with the Ministry of Social Development, organised a workshop on the role of parents in protecting their children from electronic blackmail. Members of the Public Security Presidency for Community Affairs and the Muharraq Governorate Police Directorate attended.
The workshop, presented by the psychotherapist, Ms Fatima Hasan Abdulaal, included the concept of electronic blackmail, how to protect the child from it and ways to educate him according to his age group, in addition to the role of the family in protecting children from electronic blackmail.
