Northern Governor Ali bin Al Shaikh Abdulhussein Al Asfoor commended the community partnership and volunteer efforts during the Northern Governorate’s 12th annual summer activity, held under the slogan “Our Country, Our King Bring Us Together.” The event, hosted at Karrana Primary Girls School, included participation from both male and female students from intermediate and secondary schools.
During his meeting with citizens at the weekly Majlis for the Northern Governorate, attended by Assistant Undersecretary for Labour Affairs Ahmed Jaffer Al Haiki, Deputy Northern Governor Brigadier Abdullah Ali Rashid Maanter, members of the Abdul Rahman Kanoo Senior Social Club, and local residents, the Northern Governor honoured all participants of the summer programme.
The Northern Governor emphasised that contributions from various parties enriched the programme, which focused on awareness, entertainment, and education for young people. Key areas included future job opportunities, cybersecurity awareness, and the introduction of virtual reality in engineering. The programme also offered entertainment and sports activities. He expressed pride in the role of community police in supervising and supporting participants throughout.
The Northern Governor highlighted the importance of enhancing collaboration with the Abdul Rahman Kanoo Senior Social Club and the residents of Hamad Town. He noted that Hamad Town possesses key attributes that support its accreditation as a health city, meeting essential standards of the global healthy cities programme. Notably, the strong social cohesion among its residents positions it as a candidate for a visit from the World Health Organisation delegation during their evaluation of the Northern Governorate.
During the meeting , the Northern Governor also reviewed various proposals, requests, and complaints from citizens and job seekers.
