The Customs Affairs has concluded the training programme that targeted the users of the Customs Single Window(OFOQ2) of partners from the competent authorities and customs clearance office. The programme which was held at the Customs Training Institute in person and via visual communication was delivered by Customs Affairs trainers with the participation of specialists from customs directorates.
These training courses aim to familiarise the system users with its features and qualify them to perform their roles in the new electronic system.
The Customs Affairs affirmed its continuous endeavour to achieve the sustainable development goals that contribute to economic growth, achieving partnerships with the public and private sectors, and establishing a resilient infrastructure by providing information and communications technology that enables clients from the government and private sectors to access customs services via the Internet. The Customs Affairs implemented the advanced stage of the Customs Single Window(OFOQ2), which is an electronic portal that serves customs work and related government operations, aiming to facilitate legitimate trade, enhance electronic integration and exchange of information, which contribute to the Kingdom of Bahrain occupying a leading customs and logistical position.
The Customs Affairs added that the project enhances digital customs transactions, electronic integration and data exchange among public electronic systems within customs, as it includes all relevant electronic services, in addition to enabling partner regulatory authorities to perform their tasks and monitor their performance indicators electronically and reduce the use of paper transactions, in addition to diversifying the methods of services provision in line with the Government of the Kingdom of Bahrain to reduce expenses and increase productivity.
