The Safety Protection Directorate of the General Directorate of Civil Defence, in cooperation with concerned authorities, carried out inspection campaigns in all governorates during the first half of 2024.
The statistics revealed that 2584 Commercial Registers and 823 establishments were inspected, including 212 that were inspected in association with concerned authorities.
In the same period, a total of 1952 regular inspections and 2120 random inspections were carried out to ensure the safety of establishments, including the issuing of 559 firefighting equipment and door licences and 102 no-objection fire and safety equipment licences. Five licences for civil defence offices and 30 licences for companies involved in installing and maintaining alarm and firefighting devices were issued.
Notably, the General Directorate of Civil Defence ensures the security and safety of commercial establishments and buildings by providing them with licences to carry out their business activities.
