The Director-General of Traffic, Brigadier Shaikh Abdulrahman Al Khalifa, highlighted that the safety of students is one of the directorate’s priorities. He asserted the significance of parents’ cooperation with traffic and community police and school guards to promote efforts to protect the safety of female and male students through following traffic and safety rules while transporting children to their schools, especially in educational zones.
He said that traffic personnel are deployed throughout the year on public roads, and the directorate has taken specific traffic measures to ensure a safe back-to-school, especially during peak hours and the first days of the academic year. The Directorate has also organised training courses to enhance awareness of how to protect the safety of students near schools. He wished for a safe back-to-school for students.
