The Anti-Economic Crimes Directorate of the General Directorate of Anti-Corruption and Economic and Electronic Security has arrested three Asians for possessing counterfeit credit cards and using them to make purchases from stores with a total value exceeding BD 70,000.
The Directorate explained that after receiving a report from a bank in the Kingdom of Bahrain, indicating that unknown individuals were using counterfeit credit cards to buy electronic devices and valuable items, an investigation was initiated in cooperation with the Investigation and Research Directorate. The suspects were identified and arrested, found in possession of the counterfeit credit cards and the valuable items they had purchased. Legal proceedings are being taken to refer the case to the Public Prosecution.
