The Deputy Interior Minister Lt.General Adel bin Khalifa Al Fadhel received a security delegation from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on Wednesday. Present were Deputy Chief of Public Security Major General Dr Shaikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Khalifa.
At the beginning of the meeting, the Deputy Minister of Interior praised the two countries' ongoing cooperation and security coordination and their continued joint efforts to enhance the exchange of expertise.
He explained that the "Initiative to Reduce the Spread of Extremist Ideology Among Youth," which is one of the initiatives of the Military Security Coordination Committee under the Saudi-Bahraini Coordination Council, is one of the most important areas of cooperation in combating extremism and enhancing the capabilities of specialists in this regard. He highlighted the importance of benefiting from successful experiences facing common security challenges.
The training programme, organised in the field of combating extremism, includes a presentation of the Saudi experience concerning rehabilitation and reintegration, as well as the most prominent applications in this field and the importance of supporting national and regional efforts to enhance security and combat threats associated with extremism.
