The Ministry of Interior Undersecretary for Nationality, Passports and Residence NPRA His Excellency Shaikh Hisham bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa announced the launch of the Digital Residency Service for the first time via the National Portal for e-Government. He confirmed that this service marks a new step in providing more facilities amidst the development and prosperity under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and with the support and follow-up of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
He explained that the development plans in the NPRA aim to reduce routine procedures, enhance digital transformation mechanisms in services, and contribute to environmental preservation. A series of development and facilitation operations have been implemented in its various services, primarily aiming to offer services to clients with confidentiality, speed, and transparency, coinciding with the rapid pace of the world and achieving Bahrain’s economic vision.
