The Director-General of Traffic, Brigadier Shaikh Abdulrahman Al Khalifa, asserted the continuation of providing services per the highest quality standards to facilitate procedures, digital transformation and reducing application steps.
The efforts come in response to the dedication to promoting national digital transformation accomplishments under His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa's development journey and the directives of His Royal Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister to develop 500 services in 24 government authorities.
He highlighted that according to the Ministerial Committee for Information and Communications Technology follow-up, led by His Excellency Interior Minister General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, the General Directorate of Traffic has developed 15 e-services in cooperation with the Information and eGovernment Authority. He said that the digitalisation of the services reached 100% as part of efforts to enhance services, simplify procedures and unify information about the services in all electronic channels.
He highlighted that work continues to develop the quality of traffic services to contribute to facilitating procedures. The development was based on users' views and benefiting from the government information system development policy.
The services included the annual renewal of the vehicle registration certificate for government authorities and GCC citizens and the viewing and paying of traffic fines for government authorities and Gulf vehicles using the fine or ID number.
The developed services also included the issuance of driving learning licences for private cars, motorcycles, trucks, and private and public transportation, as well as the booking of motorcycle driving tests.
The Director-General said that work continues to develop the booking service for driving tests for private cars and private and public transportation.
