The Nationality, Passports and Residents Affairs (NPRA) has held some inspection campaigns in the Southern Governorate. The campaigns were carried out with the Labour Market Regulatory Authority, Ministry of Industry and Commerce, Southern Municipality, Southern Governorate Police Directorate, and General Directorate of Media and Security Culture. They aimed to enforce residency laws and rules.
The NPRA said several violations were registered, violators were arrested, and legal proceedings were taken. Any illegal worker violations could be reported by calling the NPRA contact centre at 17077077 or emailing info@npra.gov.bh.
