The Muharraq Governor, Salman bin Isa Bin Hindi, congratulated His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa on behalf of the residents of Muharraq on the centenary of municipal council elections. The occasion was marked in a ceremony held at the Muharraq Governorate.
The Governor expressed his gratitude and appreciation for the presence of His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Isa bin Salman Educational Charitable Trust and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Labour Fund, in the celebration held on this occasion. He congratulated the Ministry of Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture, the Director General of Muharraq Municipality, the Chairman and members of the Municipal Council, and all the heads of the municipal councils who had the honour of serving the nation and its honourable citizens.
The Governor of Muharraq stressed that municipal work in the Kingdom of Bahrain, which has extended for more than a hundred years, is considered one of the tributaries of sustainable development and has witnessed remarkable developments that kept pace with the urban development in the Kingdom. He pointed out the importance of continuing to enhance cooperation and coordination between the concerned authorities to provide integrated services to citizens and residents to meet their needs and achieve the aspirations of the wise leadership.
