Deputy Interior Minister chairs Bahrain’s delegation in GCC meeting

His Excellency Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani received the heads of integrity and anti-corruption authorities of the Gulf Cooperation Council on the sidelines of their participation in the 10th meeting of the Anti-Corruption Ministerial Committee. 
HH Sheikh Mohammed welcomed the officials and wished them success in their meeting. 
Meanwhile, the Deputy Interior Minister, Lt-General Adel bin Khalifa Al Fadhel, chaired the Bahrain delegation in the meeting, in which he conveyed the greetings of His Excellency Interior Minister General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa and best wishes for the success of the meeting. The Deputy Interior Minister valued the coordinative and organisational role of the GCC General Secretariate in achieving the common Gulf work goals. He also thanked Qatari Chairman of the Administrative Control and Transparency Authority, Hamad bin Nasser Al-Misnad, for the warm reception and organisation of this meeting.
The Deputy Interior Minister commended the committee members for their dedication to achieving the noble goals of Their Majesties and Highness Gulf leaders.  He stressed the importance of reinforcing cooperation, integration, and exchange of expertise to attain joint Gulf goals. 
The meeting reviewed topics related to promoting integrity protection and anti-corruption efforts, along with the proposal for GCC to join the United Nations Convention against Corruption as a regional organisation. The event discussed the approval of guidelines and the results of the first GCC competition for research and studies in the fields of integrity protection and combating corruption.
